This upper has been specified and put together specifically to run our 556 TAKE DOWN suppressor with minimal blowback and to run reliably in a dedicated suppressed fashion with mil-spec ammunition. This upper was designed to meter at about 140 dB at the shooter’s ear and at the mil-spec muzzle position.

It is available as a permanently pin the 556 TAKE DOWN to the barrel to prevent the requirement of a registered SBR lower. With the front-serviceability of the 556 TAKE DOWN, this combination can still easily be maintained and repaired.

The DSU is available with  the Aero M-LOK float tube.

An H4 buffer is recommended for compatibility with all ammo types.
